Airlock System
Product Details and Technical Specifications
Product Summary
The Airlock System is a two-door, pressure-resistant transition chamber designed to prevent toxic gases, smoke, and airborne contaminants from entering the refuge chamber during personnel entry or exit.
Once personnel enter the first door, the airlock automatically initiates a clean-air flushing process, ensuring contaminants brought from outside are removed before entering the main chamber. Positive pressure, directional airflow, and one-way exhaust valves work together to maintain a clean and secure internal environment.
This system is essential in emergency scenarios such as fires, explosions, gas leaks, or elevated CO₂/CO levels, where the internal atmosphere of the refuge chamber must remain completely stable.
Additionally, the airlock helps maintain air quality, pressure balance, and overall life-support stability until rescue operations are completed.
